| Most of Florence's formal training has been in portraiture. She has studied privately in Halifax with well known Canadian artist Barbara Dorey in 1992,1993, and 1994. In 2002 she attended a workshop given by well known Newfoundland artist Gerald Squires at St.John's. In October of 2005 she became a member of the Portrait Society of Canada. As a consequence in Dec. of 2005 she was pleased to attend a workshop given by leading Canadian portrait artist Juan Carlos Martinez at the Arts and Letters Club in Toronto. (click here to see photos taken while Florence was at the workshop) Florence plans to further her education in Toronto in 2006. |
